Yan enjoys working at the intersection of design, technology, and art, especially in digital and physical placemaking through spatial experience enhancement. As a multidisciplinary designer, she specialized in interactive and immersive space design. She is skilled in 2D graphic drawing; 3D modeling tools; and programming environments such as grasshopper and python.
Yan is currently working at TEN Design as a design director, as well as a freelance editor for LAC and LAF. She is particularly interested in the collaboration of creative strategy and design in the realms of Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Design, and Art.
Yan has over 8 years of combined experience in architectural design, landscape architecture and public art practice. As a professional landscape architect, she works at several internationally-recognized landscape architecture firms, including Balmori Associates and Perkins Eastman in NYC.
